Buddha Bowl

I love Buddha Bowls and let me just say this is my own personal mash up. Sorry if this is so far from a Buddha bowl in your book that you are having to zoom in to see "what the heck did she put in there". This is basically a Heartie kitchen left over Bowl, … Continue reading Buddha Bowl →

Homemade Veggie Chili

Homemade Veggie Chili is one of my favorites. It is my go to soup probably once every two weeks, because most of the ingredients I have readily on hand. It also makes a bunch so we have left overs to last us a couple of days and it is perfect to send along for lunch. … Continue reading Homemade Veggie Chili →

Hey heart healthy friends, Chickpea chicken salad over a bed of baby spring mix. Yum! The recipe for the chickpea chicken salad is on my blog @theheartiekitchen found in my bio. This was dinner last night along with some left over split pea soup. My family chose to have chicken salad sandwiches also a great option. This is day 9 of the @freshlife Daniel fast. 🌱💪🏼 ❤️ur❤️
Day 2 @freshlife Daniel plan. This was dinner! Thick and chunky pasta sauce, packed with tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers, over whole grain ziti. Plant strong and heart healthy! 🌱💪🏼❤️ur❤️ How’s your New Years resolution coming along? Don’t give up! A trip is just a hiccup, pick yourself up, forgive yourself, and start fresh tomorrow😘
It’s all about the foods you choose to fuel your body with. What portion of your daily intake consists of fruits and vegetables? What portion is considered processed? How many prescription medicines are you taking? Is this your year to work on ditching some of those? Always work with your doctor toward that goal, don’t be resigned to the idea that with age comes weight and meds. 🌱💪🏼
Day 1 of @freshlife 21 days of prayer and fasting using the Daniel plan.
@pfchangs has awesome vegan options! Did you know you can substitute tofu for animal based protein in most of their entrees? The Mongolian beef with marinaded tofu in place of beef was amazing! An option for vegan January! Will you be partaking in a healthier 2021? 75% of your health is based on what you put in your mouth. 🌱💪🏼
Peanut butter blossom cookies! Dairy free except for the Hershey kiss! I have no idea what’s in that thing 😂 This was an experiment that turned out yummy!
Merry Christmas! Grandma Longs sugar cookie recipe is on the front page of my blog. Found here in my bio @theheartiekitchen
Grandma Long’s Vegan Sugar Cookie dough is ready for the fridge! Guess what’s on my todo list for tomorrow?!🦃🌲⛄️ You can find the recipe on my blog, found in my bio ⬆️ @theheartiekitchen.
Hey heart healthy friends! We stopped in to @snook_haven yesterday and tried out their veggie burger. I think this may be the best veggie burger ever! Yes, I have a preference for house made burgers, which this definitely was. It was so delicious I can’t even tell you exactly what was in it. Green pepper, rice, eggplant, kidney beans, red onion?? And much more? So filing, it turned into a one meal kind of day! Enjoy every day! Take care of your heart, it’s the only one you have! 🌱💪🏼
Hey heart healthy friends! I love these @kashi blueberry waffles. They are a quick and easy breakfast treat. I pop them in the toaster, usually two times to get them to my desired level of crispy. A bit of maple syrup and some fresh blueberries and they are ready to be enjoyed. Yes! They are vegan! It says so on the back of the box! Enjoy! 🌱💪🏼
